i felt appropriate to share so pictures i took and never showed from cfg 2016
this would as be the first time i display any of my instax film on this blog.
which is wild cause during 2014-17 i was glued to my instax wide. film was vibrant and a new shape for me but most important the film was also cheap compared to the impossible film that was being paid for polaroid 600 at the time.
this camp flog gnaw, i went extra hard and took all my instant cams(my instax wide, polaroid 600 and my instax mini)over 100+ physical pictures!
here are just SOME of my top picks, enjoy.
this flog would be my first not going with my sister, but instead my good friend Jaun tagged along making it his first time. Juan is the type of friend you can always share new music with no matter what the genre and he's always down for the pic and getting a good shot. we sat down early and decided to book a room for very cheap, seeing we were going both days and we wanted to save as much money for merch, games and food. on top of that no one wants to drive back home to come the next day during LA traffic. He ended up finding a spot that looked like a 70's movie set for a drug raid, that wasn’t even ten minutes away.
I asked Juan
this is what he had to say :
"Camp Flog was my first festival I’ve ever went to so I didn’t know what to expect. The first thing me and arn did was get out VIP items which includes a blanket that I still use to this day. The first activity I did was to go play the carnival games and win as much prizes as I can because Tyler’s merchandise was so beautiful and I wanted. I won a backpack, some pins, stickers and even a license plate and I have them all to this day because they hold sentimental value to me. From there all I remember was enjoying the experience from taking pictures with Polaroids and meeting new people and vibin out.
Day two we had time in the morning and arn wanted us to go to a cafe called The Griddle and let me tell y’all the waffles are to die for! This day specifically we decided to explore and just have fun and to be honest getting away from the world and seeing artists that we admire. "
he was not lying about them dam waffles.

seeing Kilo Kish performing alot off of Across and her newest album at the time Reflections in Real Life , that dropped earlier that year both projects that i stand by til this day. great performer.
only had color packs for my polaroid 600 cam, so now white polaroids this time.
im still a fan and user of the black border its just so crisp. anyway you can see the stage behind me on the right. we saw a band i cant remember from the top.

she performed Loner tore the place up.
ive only seen her live at camp flog gnaw.
her shows usually sale out in mins fast every-time.
her band at the time was Phony Ppl, who also performed earlier was a great addition to her set, love them all so well.
the 600 color film is alot of fun guessing what order the colors come out.
ill say we used them correctly seeing the final results. super cool.
in vip access there was a diner that sold merch and food in ac tint, we stayed there for a bit it. had a wax figure of tyler as Thurnis Haley, a character he had on Loiter Squad. this outta focus selfie of it is hilarious to me.
i only know where one of these shirts are now.
my vip blanket is still in its clear plastic waiting for me to open it.

current position: my mouth numbed up from the dentist wanting to eat but not accidentally chew my fucking lip off, learned the hard way. not recommended.
... ive been understanding more of the phase im in ,i think the majority would call this period "alow" before the high. at the moment im just got grasping the fact that its gametime and not downtime, which ive never missed but in this case ive been more laxadasical and glued to either apple product i have and forgetting myself which scares me cause i see alot of older ppl in my life slow but surely drift away and i wont let that happen to me.
having downtime is a blessing in itself which is a whole other post, nevertheless my hands down, favorite time to create ... sketch out .. try new techniques
life will never not point to balance. so the sooner you cut all ego ties with high n low points you move differently.

- usually people like myself have to navigate this time period with family friends work eating sleep and a possibly addiction or two, a lover or hobby, which isn't the easiest of task in the long run blah blah blah.
i strive to express more fluidly + expressively in any moment in my life i dont want to post only when im happy or in the mood i want to throw up my ideas creativity and voice ect on the floor publicly and privately. just saying this big rant is over. i wont edit it. i dont care to but it will be my reminder.
